Theatre Arts I - Intro to Acting/Performance
Students learn the basics of acting and performance. They will gain an understanding of vocal use, body movement, emotional expression and interaction with other performers.
Theatre Arts II, III, IV - Advanced Acting/Performance
Students continue to expand their awareness of acting and performance. They will gain additional understanding of vocal use, body movement, emotional expression and interaction with other performers to create advanced performances for the stage and its relationship to their audience. This will include solo and duet performances, creating an acting resume, and organizing an acting portfolio.
Theatre Tech I - Intro to Theatre Technologies and Design
Students will learn the basics of the role of other members of the theatre world behind the scenes of a performance, that are not performers. They will learn basics of lighting, sound, design and maintaining a working theatre.
Theatre Tech II, III, IV - Advanced Theatre Technologies, Design & Build
Students will put into practice what they learned of the roles of theatre techs and designers. They will expand their knowledge of lighting, sound, design and maintaining a working theatre. Students will be put in leadership roles and be responsible for building sets for all productions on our stage. Students will also have an opportunity to learn stage management, as well as help with costuming and makeup for live theatrical performances.
Northeast Blue Jesters - Drama Club
Our drama club is open to all students on our campus. We meet weekly to discuss upcoming events and productions. This student organization is ran by students, for students under the supervision of our sponsor, Mr. Tevino.
We have two yearly banquets and help raise money for these events.
