With many Austin ISD students living in food-insecure households, access to healthy food may be challenging when the district is closed.  Families can use the community resources below to find free meals in their area while Austin ISD offices and schools are closed for the fall break November 21-25:

Blue Santa registration for holiday assistance is open online for families who live in Austin city limits and have a child under the age of 14 years!  Please share this link to the bilingual online registration form with your families:  Registration must be completed before Friday, November 18.  Here is a flyer you may use to promote:





Our parent support specialist, Rina Guzman, is available to provide resources to families such as: 

  • In-School Services (CIS, tutoring, etc.)
  • Clothing/Food/Furniture Needs
  • Housing, Rent, Utility Assistance
  • Health Insurance Eligibility
  • Computer Training
  • ESL and GED Classes
  • Personal Financial Training
  • Parenting and Leadership Classes
  • Counseling


Project HELP's mission is to ensure the educational rights and protections due under the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act to all students experiencing homelessness.
