Yesterday morning the Northeast Cross Country team competed in the UIL Region 3 Regionals Meet in Huntsville TX. This is our second year qualifying for this race and representing AISD as one of the only 3 Austin schools in 5A. The boys competed against dozens of larger schools from Central and SE Texas. It was pouring rain the morning of, and extremely muddy. They competed amazingly. This concludes their season as we did not qualify to advance to state. However, the trip was a great experience and reward for all the hard work and dedication they have put in every morning at 7am since August. We are very proud of these young men.
