Yearbook Update

Yearbooks are here! This year has been incredibly fun, and according to our vendor, this is the highest number of yearbooks our campus has sold since before COVID. Because of this unexpected demand, we had to place a second shipment, which caused a delay in distribution. Staff yearbooks will be distributed on June 14.

We truly appreciate everyone’s patience as we worked through this process. This was our first year managing orders, and it has been a valuable learning experience. We are grateful for the support from both students and staff as we continue to improve. We have 30 yearbooks left, at $55.00, sold as a first-come, first served.

Students will begin receiving their yearbooks this week:

  • Seniors will receive theirs during Decision Day May 8th
  • Grades 9–11 will receive theirs in Advisory on May 6–7

Decision Day is Here!

We are excited to celebrate our seniors at our annual Decision Day on May 8 from 9:05 – 11:00 AM in the Library. This special event honors their hard work and the next steps they are taking after graduation.

Students can look forward to:
  • Breakfast provided by PTA
  • Yearbook distribution for seniors
  • Prizes and giveaways from Advise Texas at University of Texas at Austin
  • A photo booth to capture the moments with friends
  • ACC giveaways for students going to ACC.
ACC Registration
Registration for Austin Community College begins Monday, May 11. Seniors are assigned time by credits earned, which means:
  • The more college credits a senior has, the earlier they can register.
  • Seniors graduating with an associate degree may begin registering on May 11
  • New seniors to ACC will begin registering Friday, May 15

ACC Recruitment will also be on campus to assist seniors. Seniors can find additional guidance in their “Focus on Your Future” course in Blend.

ACC Free Tuition Perk
Because of the ACC Free Tuition pilot, any senior graduating between the Classes of 2024–2028 may attend Austin Community College tuition-free.

ACC is a first-dollar program at the moment, which means ACC covers tuition and fees upfront. Because of this, students can keep any financial aid or scholarships they are awarded. That money can then be used for other college expenses such as transportation, a laptop, or personal costs.
