Good Morning, Parents!

This Friday, we are hosting a College Workshop open to ALL students, not just AVID! Representatives from Austin Community College, Texas State University, University of Houston-Victoria, Concordia University, and the University of Texas at San Antonio will be there to help with college applications and financial aid, including scholarships.

• Important Details:

• Financial Aid Priority Deadline: February 15 – required to qualify for some university promise programs (free tuition if eligible).
   
• Bus leaves campus at 9:15 AM for the public library and returns by 1:30 PM.
• For students completing financial aid: They should have pictures of parent 1040 tax form (4 pages) on their phone.
• For students applying to colleges: We are excited to help them with their applications!
• ✅ Lunch will be provided, and coffee will be available in the morning.

Este viernes, tendremos un Taller Universitario abierto para TODOS los estudiantes, no solo los de AVID. Representantes de Austin Community College, Texas State University, University of Houston-Victoria, Concordia University y la University of Texas at San Antonio estarán presentes para ayudar con solicitudes universitarias y ayuda financiera, incluyendo becas.

Detalles importantes:

• Fecha límite prioritaria para ayuda financiera: 15 de febrero – se requiere para calificar para algunos programas universitarios que cubren la matrícula.
   
• El autobús saldrá de la escuela a las 9:15 AM hacia la biblioteca pública y regresará a la 1:30 PM.
   
• Para estudiantes que completarán la ayuda financiera: Deben tener fotos de padres formulario de impuestos 1040 (4 páginas) en su teléfono.
• Para estudiantes que solicitan ingreso a la universidad: ¡Estamos emocionados de ayudarles con sus solicitudes!
• Se proporcionará almuerzo y habrá café disponible en la mañana.
