Class of 2026,

You’ve made it! After four years of hard work, graduation is finally here. To make sure everything goes perfectly, here is your checklist and schedule. Read this carefully so you don’t miss out on walking the stage!
The Big Event

  • Date: Tuesday, June 2, 2026

  • Time: 6:00 PM

  • Location: Burger Arena (3200 Jones Rd, Austin, TX 78745)

Mandatory Rehearsals

If you don't show up for practice, you won't know where to stand or when to walk. Attendance is required.

  • Rehearsal #1: Wednesday, May 28th at 1:00 PM (Large Gym)

  • Rehearsal #2: Thursday, May 29th at 10:00 AM (Large Gym)

Graduation Day Timeline (Tuesday, June 2)

  • 3:00 PM: Arrive at the Northeast ECHS staging area for final outfit checks.

  • 4:00 PM (EXACT): Senior buses leave for the arena. You are expected to ride the bus. This avoids traffic and parking fees. If you miss the bus and do not make it to Burger Arena by 5:00 PM you may not be allowed to participate in the ceremony.

  • 5:00 PM: Mandatory check-in at Burger Arena (West side/Hwy 290 entrance). If you don’t check in, your name will NOT be called.

  • 6:00 PM: The ceremony begins!

Dress Code & Rules

  • The Basics: You must wear your official gown, cap, and 2026 tassel.

  • Tassel: Keep it on the RIGHT side until Principal Neal tells the class to move it to the left.

  • Under the Gown: Wear business casual clothes.

  • Shoes: Wear comfortable shoes (you'll be using ramps and stairs). No flip-flops, no tennis shoes, and no writing/messages on your shoes.

  • Strictly Prohibited: District policy says NO decorated caps, no shoe messages, no flowers/leis, no money necklaces, and no LED lights on your outfit.

Arena Rules & Security

  • No Storage: Do not bring purses or backpacks. There is nowhere safe to leave them.

  • Banned Items: No noisemakers, air horns, balloons, confetti, glitter, streamers, silly string, beach balls, laser pointers, or large posters.

Your Last Call

We will be finalizing all of these items during the May 28th rehearsal, but you should be proactive and get them done NOW. You risk not being allowed to walk the stage if you do not complete these:

  • Return Tech: Hand in your AISD Chromebook, charger, and hotspot to Ms. Brady.

  • Surveys & Forms: Complete the AISD Senior Exit Survey and the FAFSA Opt-Out Form with Ms. Perez.

  • Clear Your Debt: Pay off any library fines or club obligations (like Band, NHS, or Dance fees).

  • Personal Contact Form: Fill this out with a non-school email address. Your AISD account will be deleted shortly after graduation, and the office needs a way to contact you about picking up your diploma this summer.

Extra Info for Families

  • The Diploma: You get a cover on stage. You must pick up your actual diploma and three programs at the Northeast campus during the week after graduation.
  • Photos: "Keep It Digital" is the official photographer. Request proofs at keepitdigital.com/proof-request-form/.
  • Parking: It costs $15.00 if you pre-pay, or $20.00 at the gate on graduation day.
